Christmas Gifting with Premium Chocolate

Christmas Gifting with Premium Chocolate

The Christmas gift that never misses

Every December the same question comes around: what do you give the people who already have everything? The teacher, the neighbour who collects your mail, the in-laws, the friend you see once a year.

After more than 25 years of making chocolate in Sydney, we can tell you the answer is simpler than you think. Good chocolate is the one gift almost everyone loves, nobody returns, and nobody re-gifts to the back of a cupboard.

Why chocolate makes the perfect Christmas gift

  • It suits everyone. Young or old, close family or new colleague, chocolate fits every relationship on your list.
  • It feels like a treat. Most of us won't buy ourselves fine chocolate, which is exactly why receiving it feels special.
  • It's made to be shared. A box opened on Christmas afternoon gets passed around the table and becomes part of the day.
  • No sizes, no clutter. No guessing a shirt size, no ornament that never leaves the drawer. Chocolate gets enjoyed, then it's gone.
  • It travels well. Light, compact and easy to send to family interstate you can't see this year.
  • It looks beautiful. A well-presented gift box does the wrapping work for you.

Chocolate gift ideas for everyone on your list

For the host. Arriving at Christmas lunch? A gift box of assorted chocolates is the perfect thank-you, and it can go straight onto the table with coffee.

For teachers, coaches and carers. A small, beautifully wrapped box says thank you for the year without overstepping.

For neighbours and the people who make your year easier. The postie, the hairdresser, the lady at the café. A little bag of chocolates or sugared almonds is a lovely gesture.

For family. Go a little bigger: a generous assortment everyone can dip into over the holidays.

Stocking fillers. Foiled chocolate hearts and small treats tuck neatly into stockings and add colour under the tree.

For the person who has everything. Quality wins here. Choose something handmade they won't find at the supermarket checkout.

Our tips for chocolate gifting in an Aussie summer

  1. Order early. The last fortnight before Christmas is our busiest time, and couriers are flat out too. Ordering in November or early December means less stress and no missed deliveries.
  2. Keep it cool. Chocolate is happiest at around 15–18°C, away from sunlight. On hot days, pop it in a cool cupboard rather than the car or a sunny windowsill.
  3. Fridge only if you must. If your home gets very hot, store chocolate in an airtight container in the fridge, then let it come to room temperature before serving for the best flavour.
  4. Don't leave it under the tree for weeks. Put chocolate gifts out on Christmas Eve, not December 1st.
  5. Add a personal note. A few handwritten words turn a box of chocolates into a gift they'll remember.
